This is a fast-moving seminar that focuses on giving new supervisors and managers practical tools for reducing employee turnover, increasing staff morale, increasing staff productivity, and handling employee problems.
Participants will learn how to:
- Accept the role of supervisor
- Establish authority without abusing it
- Apply the Ten Do’s and Don’ts that will make or break a manager
- Delegate so the work gets done and the delegates grow
- Build a positive workplace where people will want to come to work
- Reduce staff whining, moaning, and
- Handle sticky situations, e.g. supervising friends and former peers
- Select a coaching style that meets each team member’s needs
- Communicate clearly to avoid “snafus”
- Build a cohesive work team
- Give feedback that actually changes behavior
